The land was an Austin homestead before it became AWKN. We've spent years restoring its old buildings, planting its gardens, and adding the spaces a modern wellness retreat needs — while leaving the wildness of the hills intact.
The temple is the heart of AWKN. It's where ceremonies are held, where mornings begin in stillness, and where evenings end in song. Cushions, candles, and natural light through tall windows. No screens, no clocks.
Capacity for groups up to 40 in seated practice, or 16 in lying ceremony.
A warm-light geodesic dome at the edge of the property. Hexagonal panes overhead, soft cushions below. Used by day as a movement and meditation studio, by night as star-gazing lodging for the guest who wants quiet.
Sleeps two; doubles as a 12-person workshop space.
Our central building — a low Texas farmhouse with a wraparound porch, a chef's kitchen, and seven bedrooms (some private, some shared). The hub for retreats and the closest lodging to the temple, sauna, and gardens.
Sleeps up to 14 across private and shared rooms.
A cedar barrel sauna and a cold plunge tub framed by live oaks. A short walk away, the fire pit — for late-night conversation, fire ceremony, or quiet stargazing. The contrast practice that anchors most stays here.
Open to all guests; included with every stay.
Beyond the named buildings, the property is full of small spaces designed to be found — a hammock under the oaks, a bench at the high point, the koi pond at dusk.
A bird's-eye view of the ranch, from the gate to the gardens. Use it to orient yourself before you arrive, or print it for guests of a retreat you're hosting.
7600 Stillridge Drive, Austin, TX 78736. Tucked into the hills southwest of the city — close enough to fly in for a weekend, far enough to feel like another world.
